Mohamed Amoura will be sidelined until further notice after tests on Friday revealed the Algerian striker had suffered a minor injury to his medial knee ligament in training.
“It’s obviously a shame that Mo won’t be able to train with the team for the time being,” said VfL sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz. “He has performed very well in the first few weeks of pre-season and we’re confident he’ll be able to return to the pitch as soon as possible. We have enough players and have great confidence in their ability to compensate for his absence.”
Amoura, 24, joined the Wolves from Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise at the beginning of July.
