After a two-year break due to the pandemic, the traditional Union Sponsors Gala took place last week. The venue was held at the WECC – The Westhafen Event and Convention Centre.
There were 600 guests invited with a cocktail reception to welcome many of our partners. The tables were laid out in the Great Hall of the WECC and the evening’s programme was led by Christian Arbeit, 1. FC Union Berlin’s Managing Director for Communications. The night was opened by Christian who interviewed club president Dirk Zingler. In his interview, the President once again expressly thanked all partners and sponsors of 1. FC Union Berlin for their magnificent support in recent years.
Other items on the evening’s programme included talks with captain Christopher Trimmel and new signing Jamie Leweling, as well as, coach Urs Fischer and Managing Director for Professional Football Oliver Ruhnert, who provided a change of pace on stage between the various menu courses and gave an insight into current sporting events. Highlights from the past 2021/22 season were played and in a special showroom, partners and sponsors were given an exclusive preview of the Eisernen’s new home kit.
There was a range of activities at the WECC to create a brilliant atmosphere for our guests. The boat “Viktoria” from company Eddyline docked right in front of the location.
