The constant dialogue between the club and fans, fan club administration and the coordination of fans’ interests and work is of great importance to 1. FC Union Berlin. In order to be able to address these issues in a more targeted manner, there will be a clear allocation of responsibilities and associated contact persons in the fan representatives team in future.
Fan work
If you want to know where you can volunteer, how to get in touch with Union fan clubs or how to set up a new fan club, Sven Mühle is the right person to contact. As Head of Fan interests, he is responsible for coordinating these issues and all the people involved. Since the beginning of August, he has been supported by Joachim Müller, better known to many in the Union family as ‘Ajax’. He is one of the co-founders of the Fan and Members’ Department (FuMA) of 1. FC Union Berlin and has shaped the club’s fan work for many years. From 2009 to 2022, he served as a fan representative on the supervisory board.
Fan support
Where and when do I get my tickets, what do I have to consider when travelling to and entering the stadium and who can I contact if I want to register a fence flag? All questions relating to match operations will continue to be answered by the team led by Andre Knobloch, Head of Fan Support.
“The continuous growth of our club in recent years has presented us with new challenges in the area of fan matters,” says Pierre Lüttge, director of match operations and organisation at 1. FC Union Berlin. “In addition, there are new requirements in German and European football that also need to be taken into account. With this realignment, we want to take these developments into account and ensure that the concerns of our fans can be dealt with in the club in the best possible way.’
