VfB have agreed to loan Wahid Faghir to SV Elversberg for the upcoming season. The Denmark U21 international joined Stuttgart from hometown club Veile BK in summer 2021, scoring once in six Bundesliga appearances for the Cannstatt side. The 19-year-old has also played once in the DFB Cup and scored four times in eight outings for VfB’s U21s.

Faghir spent last season on loan at FC Nordsjaelland, scoring five goals in 19 appearances in all competitions as the club finished runners-up in the top flight. The striker, whose VfB contract is valid until 30 June 2026, will now spend the upcoming campaign with Elversberg in Bundesliga 2.

VfB sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth: “Game time is the top priority when it comes to taking the next step in a young player’s development. In Elversberg, Wahid will have just the right opportunity to prove himself. He’ll be able to take on responsibility and will be challenged there in a healthy way. From that point of view, this is a logical and sensible side step. We’ll stay in touch and wish him all the best and every success for the upcoming season.”
