Berlin’s Athletes of the Year

1. FC Union Berlin are hoping to win awards at this year’s CHAMPIONS gala. Both professional teams, alongside women’s head coach Ailien Poese, have a chance, having been nominated in their respective categories for the 2024 vote.

From this Friday, all Berliners will have the opportunity to vote online for Berlin’s athletes of the year in various categories. Voting will run until Sunday, 17 November 2024. All the winners will be announced and honoured at the ‘CHAMPIONS-GALA 2024’ on 30 November 2024.

Last year, 1. FC Union Berlin received two awards. The men’s professionals were named ‘Team of the Year’, while former head coach Urs Fischer was honoured with the title ‘Coach of the Year’.
