Clinton Mola joined VfB from Chelsea U23 at the end of January 2020 and was part of the squad that won promotion to the Bundesliga in the 2019/20 season. After two a half years in Stuttgart, the 22-year-old defender was loaned to Blackburn Rovers for a season before returning to Cannstatt this summer. VfB have now parted company with Mola following a mutual decision.
The former England U21 international made a total of 14 competitive appearances for the VfB first team – four in the Bundesliga, eight in Bundesliga 2 and two in the DFB Cup. He also featured twice for the VfB U21 side in the Southwest Regionalliga.
