Mohamed Sankoh joins Almelo on loan

The 19-year-old, who joined VfB’s youth academy in summer 2020, spent last term on loan in the Netherlands too, scoring two goals in 21 Eredivisie appearances for Vitesse Arnhem. The striker has so far featured twice for VfB in the Bundesliga and once in the DFB Cup (scoring once), as well as registering nine goals in 15 outings in the South-West Regionalliga (fourth division).

VfB sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth: “It’s very important for Mo to get regular playing time. He’ll have that chance at Heracles Almelo in a league he already knows well from last season. We wish Mo and Heracles Almelo a successful season.”
