VfB head coach Sebastian Hoeneß: “Today we succeeded in a lot of the things we had planned. You could feel the energy we had out on the pitch. We deserved to win and I can’t rate it highly enough – it was a great performance. I’m extremely proud of my team, who handled different situations superbly today.”

Alexander Nübel: “Today you could see that if we do what we’re capable of over 90 minutes then it’s very difficult to play against us. I’m happy we got the three points today. It will give us confidence. We have a lot of fun with each other and that helps you develop a flow. We want to ride that wave for as long as possible.”

Deniz Undav: “It was a very important game and a very important win for us. We know how strong we can be at home and that we needed to show a reaction after the last couple of games. Thankfully, we managed to do that. It was a very intense game and we played brilliantly today. I’m happy I was able to score three goals and help the team.”
