Xaver is back! Schlager returns to team training

After nine weeks sidelined with injury, midfielder Xaver Schlager is back with the team and completed his first full training session with the team on Thursday.
 

Xaver Schlager:

• “I’m really pleased to be back in full training with the team after a long time out injured. The hard work in the past few weeks has paid off. I have to take it step by step now to get closer and closer to being 100% again.”
   

Xaver picked up his injury shortly before full time in the 2-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund on 3rd March. After surgery, he completed large parts of his rehabilitation at the Red Bull Athlete Performance Center in Thalgau beforere returning to Leipzig on 13th April where he has been training individually since.
