The match report
MARCO ROSE
- “We didn’t play well enough in the first half to deserve the lead. We weren’t active or intense enough, didn’t have enough movement with the ball.
We got better in the second 45 minutes. We got off to a good start after half time and had two good opportunities straight away. We reacted well to going behind. We still had good chances and opportunities.
In the end we didn’t pay attention and lost the game. We deserved at least a point based on the second half.”
JANIS BLASWICH
- “We hoped for more in the first half, but we didn’t have enough intensity in our game. We didn’t do enough. But we were very good defensively the whole time. We didn’t allow much today, except for the goals.
We had good chances in the second half. The late goal we conceded is extremely bitter. Our goal is to qualify for the Champions League again. We have to work hard for that and gain points from game to game.”
XAVER SCHLAGER
- “The first half wasn’t good for us. We were a bit sluggish and didn’t really get into our routine. Bayern set up to match us, which was completely unusual.
We were better in the second half. We played well and had a lot of chances . In a moment of pressure we went 0-1 down, but we then turned up the heat and equalised. We even had a chance to score the second goal.
In the end we ran out of steam a bit. And then unfortunately FCB got a one more chance in stoppage time. We didn’t defend cleverly at the back. But we still have enough games in front of us. We won’t bury our heads in the sand and will keep working.”
BENJAMIN SESKO
- “We knew what to expect today. We fought until the end and gave our best. Unfortunately, the late goal was the deciding factor. We needed to keep going and put the game away.
I have to keep working on converting my chances, that’s very important in games like this and against teams like Bayern Munich.”
