All players are fit and available for the game against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Lois Opendaand David Raum are one yellow card away from a Bundesliga suspension. Both have been cautioned four times this season.

“They defend very well and diligently. They are also great at switching gears. Gladbach have very good footballers in their ranks. Such as Alassane Plea , Florian Neuhaus and Julian Weigl. So we need a really good performance tomorrow.

They are great guys, I still speak to some of them now. I had an exciting and successful time in Gladbach, we qualified for the Champions League and made it to the Round of 16.
But you also know that the ending wasn’t all that funny for me. That’s the truth. That’s part of it sometimes. I’m looking forward to seeing a lot of people again.”

“We have a full squad right now. The guys who played on Tuesday did very well. So there’s no reason to make any major adjustments or changes. We now have an extra day’s rest compared to last week. Plus, we don’t have that many busy weeks at the moment. So we can rely on fresh players tomorrow. We’ll have discussions and make those decisions during training today.
We also have a lot of trust in the rest of our squad. Castello Jr. has been patient, Yussuf Poulsen is waiting for his chance. Eljif Elmas can have a positive influence on our game, Christoph Baumgartner is itching to get involved. Everyone is healthy right now, that’s important.”

“Basically, we’re in a really strong position. We neededMohamed Simakan at right back against Real Madrid to deal with Vinicius Junior. He did very well.
I still really wanted Benny Henrichs on the pitch. I knew he would provide the defensive help we needed.
He was really happy that he was able to play there. And in a big game like that and having not played there for so long, he did very well.
That shows his qualities, he gives us a lot of tactical options. We’ll have to see what that means for the future. It’s not a bad thing for a coach if he’s spoiled for choice.”

“Our situation is clear. We all really enjoyed the game against Real Madrid. A full stadium, under the lights, great opponents. These are the games we want to play. So we have to do well in the Bundesliga to get them. We are currently in fifth, so we need points.
It is clear that we have to earn the points tomorrow. Now it is simply a matter of us converting our good performances into results. We want to take our chances and defend situations better. We have to work hard to improve ourselves from the underwhelming results of the last few weeks.”

“He’s currently dealing with it very well and professionally. He has an incredibly good connection with Benjamin Sesko. He has been helping with his development. The two exchange ideas and work together on small details after training.
Yussi is an incredibly important player for us in the dressing room because he strengthens our game when we are trying to hold the ball. But Benjamin and Lois Openda have been excellent in recent games. But Yussi will get chances again. That’s why we his contract was extended.”
