RB Leipzig have reached the DFB-Pokal final in Berlin once again! The dominant 5-1 win away at SC Freiburg marks a perfect journey to the final, in which many players stood out in the strong Leipzig side. Here are the facts from the semi-final win.

  • RB Leipzig are now unbeaten in 11 cup games in a row.
  • It is RBL’s fourth appearance in the final in five years.
  • RBL have reached the semi-finals four times, winning every time.
  • In this cup season, Leipzig have scored22 goals and conceded just two.
  • In a total of 37 DFB-Pokal games in Leipzig’s history, they have scored 88 goals.


  • Yussuf Poulsen played his 30th game in the DFB-Pokal, an RBL record!
  • Konrad Laimer shone in midfield and received the DFB “Man of the Match” award.


  • Joško Gvardiol received a red card for his challenge and will miss the final in Berlin on 3rd June.

  • Christopher Nkunku had already scored in the Bundesliga since his comeback in the starting eleven, and he was on point in the cup too with a goal.
  • Benjamin Henrichs scored his fourth goal of the season to make it 2-0, having already scored twice in the Bundesliga and against Hamburger SV in the cup.
