Appearances

Yussuf Poulsen played his 30th game in the DFB-Pokal, an RBL record!
Konrad Laimer shone in midfield and received the DFB “Man of the Match” award.

Cards

Joško Gvardiol received a red card for his challenge and will miss the final in Berlin on 3rd June.
Christopher Nkunku, Janis Blaswich and Konrad Laimer all saw yellow cards, and for each of them it was their first of the cup season, so they will have no effect for the final.

Goals

Dani Olmo was directly involved in four of the five goals scored. Our number seven scored the opening goal himself and set up the other three in the first half.
Dominik Szoboszlai scored a brace with his late penalty. It marked his first goal in the cup this season and his sixth and seventh in all competitive matches.
Christopher Nkunku had already scored in the Bundesliga since his comeback in the starting eleven, and he was on point in the cup too with a goal.
Benjamin Henrichs scored his fourth goal of the season to make it 2-0, having already scored twice in the Bundesliga and against Hamburger SV in the cup.
