Time for the post-season international break!
16 RBL players have been selected for national team duty in June – five more than in the last international break in March. Hansi Flick has called up Timo Werner, David Raum, Lukas Klostermann and Benjamin Henrichs.

Timo Werner, David Raum, Benjamin Henrichs and Lukas Klostermann (Germany)
Timo Werner and David Raum have been named in Hansi Flick’s squad once again, and Lukas Klostermann is back in the squad and could potentially make his 22nd, 23rd and 24th international appearances. Benjamin Henrichs has also been brought back into the squad for Germany’s three international friendlies; as hosts of the 2024 EUROs, they do not need to participate in qualifiers.

Willi Orbán and Dominik Szoboszlai (Hungary)
Orbán and Szoboszlaiof Hungary are also on international duty in June, and Szobo will be looking for repeat performances of his national-team form in March. Not only did he captain the side against Bulgaria, but he also scored a direct free kick.

Hungary vs. Lithuania
Joško Gvardiol (Croatia)
Despite being just 21 years old, Joško Gvardiol is already a key part of Croatia’s national team. He was part of the side that reached the semifinals of the 2022 World Cup and the centre-back also started both of Croatia’s fixtures back in March. Both he and Croatia could pick up the UEFA Nations League title in the coming weeks.

Xaver Schlager and Konrad Laimer (Austria)
Midfield engine Xaver Schlagermissed the last international break due to injury, but has been recalled to the squad for the June fixtures, alongside teammate Konrad Laimer.

Austria vs. Sweden
Amadou Haidara (Mali)
Doudou Haidaradoesn’t just run his socks off in central midfield for RBL, but he also does so for the Mali national team and has done so on 32 occasions thus far. Mali won one of their two Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Gambia back in March; the one in which Doudou was playing.

Emil Forsberg (Sweden)
Emil Forsberg has been called up for Sweden once again. He made his 80th international cap in a 5-0 EURO qualifier win over Azerbaijan back in March, and even got himself on the scoresheet, his 20th goal for his country.

Dani Olmo (Spain)
The “Furia Roja” require the services of Dani “El Mago” Olmo who has netted six times in 30 appearances for Spain, one of which came in his last appearance for them against Norway and against RBL reserve keeper Ørjan Nyland. Dani and Spain are also fighting for the UEFA Nations League title and could face Joško and Croatia in the final.

Ørjan Nyland (Norway)
Ny, who has already made 44 appearances for Norway, has been included in their latest squad. Up next for them are EURO qualifiers against Scotland and Cyprus, and it is assumed he will start between the sticks in both matches.

Christopher Nkunku (France)
France head coach Didier Deschamps simply cannot ignore the ability of our top scorer Christo Nkunku. After missing the 2022 World Cup and the EURO qualifiers in March due to injury, Christo has finally returned to the squad of the “Équipe Tricolore”.

Mohamed Simakan (France U21s)
Mo Simakan will also be donning the famous shirt of “Les Bleus” in the upcoming international break as part of their U21s squad. He will be taking part in the U21 European Championship in Romania, where he will face Italy, Norway and Switzerland in the group stage. The tournament kicks off on 22nd June and ends on 8th July.

Yussuf Poulsen (Denmark)
Our Danish dynamite Yussi Poulsen will also be part of his nation’s European Championship qualifiers. He is set to make his 69th appearance for Denmark, having already scored 11 goals in his previous 68 appearances.
