Unzer GmbH are supplying the modern EC-Cash terminals used throughout the PreZero Arena – and are thus ensuring that TSG fans can make secure cashless payments. “We are very happy about the cooperation with Unzer,” says TSG managing director Denni Strich. “Unzer is a European company with customers all over Europe. At the same time, it also has regional roots. This combination of international ambition and local identity makes Unzer an exciting partner for TSG. The partnership will also help us make the fan experience even more positive by providing state-of-the-art payment options.”

“We are incredibly excited about this strong partnership,” says Pascal Beij, chief commercial officer at Unzer. “TSG Hoffenheim as an innovative Bundesliga club and us as a young, agile, digital company – it’s the perfect match. Although Unzer is now headquartered in Berlin, Heidelberg is still an important location,” says Beij, adding: “In addition, the brand awareness of our young company should experience significant growth through involvement in such a professional and emotionally-charged environment as the Bundesliga.”

Unzer helps retailers and organisations empower their customers and fans with a seamless and intuitive shopping experience, regardless of where they shop or how they pay. The Unzer brand was founded in 2020 and combines the expertise and experience of a total of 13 companies. Unzer is thus ideally positioned to simplify the entire payment value chain and bring it together in one platform – be it payments from home, on the go or in-store.

The company employs staff in eight offices in Germany, Austria, Denmark and Luxembourg and is majority owned by the global investment firm KKR.
