Oliver Baumann sends message to fans

Dear TSG fans, 

with the benefit of a few days’ hindsight, I would like to turn to you once again and say thank-you: it was an unbelievable season with many setbacks, profound lows – and a good ending that we would’ve liked to celebrate with you even more intensively in Stuttgart. Because you fans always believed in us, got behind us – and pushed us. That gave the whole team and me personally a lot of strength. Now that the tension is gone, I realise how much energy this season has cost me. My body reacted straightaway by getting an infection, which has slowed me down accordingly. But I’m looking forward to going on the attack with TSG again after the summer break – and with you fans behind me. However, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank – on behalf of the team – the outgoing general manager Frank Briel, who has accompanied me and my team-mates here the entire time. It has been a pleasure and I know that he’ll continue to keep his fingers crossed for us from a distance.
