Marius, the first home game in the UEFA Europa League is coming up. Are you looking forward to it?
“We players are of course looking forward to our first Europa League home game. It’s also my first home game on the international stage. There is great excitement.”
You have already collected several scorer points this season and also netted two goals against Bremen on Sunday. Are you satisfied with yourself?
“Goals naturally always bring self-confidence, even if it is difficult to take delight in it after that match. For me personally, things are currently going well, I feel comfortable on the pitch at the moment. But if things aren’t working as a team, you don’t feel so much joy about it.”
Are you feeling the pressure after the start to the season with only one win from five games?
“There’s pressure, of course. But I think that it’s normal in football to have to come through periods of pressure. You can also grow from this and become stronger. That has to be our objective, to come out of this stronger and pick up victories again.”
Why are you convinced that the match against Dynamo Kyiv will be successful?
“First and foremost, it’s about showing the basics on the pitch. Being aggressive, getting stuck into the challenges, being solid. If we do that, we have so much quality that the result will come automatically.”
