The DFL have changed the kick-off time and date of 1. FC Köln’s away game against Bayer Leverkusen to Friday 5th May 2023 at 20:30 CEST.

1. FC Köln will play Bayer Leverkusen on Matchday 31. The Rhine Duel was set to be played on Sunday 7th May 2023 at 15:30 CEST. Instead, it will be played on Friday 5th May 2023 at 20:30 CEST.

The changing of the kick-off time and date came after Bayer Leverkusen’s desire to rearrange the fixture and the agreement of the security authorities and DAZN. The background: Bayer Leverkusen are the last German team in European competition and will be given more time to prepare for their UEFA Europa League semi-final against AS Roma.

The game between 1. FSV Mainz and FC Schalke 04 will remain unchanged and be played out at the same time.
