Saturday opener, derby on Sunday – matchdays 1 to 8 scheduled
The DFL (German Football League) announced the schedule for the first matchdays of the 2023/24 season on Wednesday. Borussia’s first Bundesliga game of the new campaign will take place at Augsburg on Saturday, 19th August (15:30 CEST).
After the away trip to Augsburg, our first home game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen is on Saturday, 26th August (18:30 CEST). Another Topspiel follows in BORUSSIA-PARK just one week later, with FC Bayern the visitors on Saturday, 2nd September (18:30 CEST).
Following the first international break of the season, Gerardo Seoane’s side return to action on Sunday, 17th September away at newly promoted SV Darmstadt 98 (17:30 CEST), with RB Leipzig in Mönchengladbach one week later on Saturday, 23rd September (15:30 CEST). After meetings away at VfL Bochum (Saturday, 30th September from 15:30 CEST) and at home to 1. FSV Mainz 05 (Friday, 6th October from 20:30 CEST), matchday 8 sees the Foals travel to 1. FC Köln for the Rhine derby on Sunday, 22nd October at 15:30 CEST.
