After the 3-3 draw away to Eintracht Frankfurt, sporting director Sebastian Kehl and players Niclas Füllkrug, Nico Schlotterbeck, Alexander Meyer and Karim Adeyemi spoke about the game. The match reactions.

Sebastian Kehl (in the mixed zone): “I viewed the penalty incidents contrarily to the way they were ultimately decided. Perhaps it evened itself out a bit. We would have liked to decide the game in our favour and yet we must be satisfied with the point given the way the game went – trailing 2-0, coming back into it, the chance to turn the game around, trailing again. We were able to keep our run going because we didn’t lose once again, because we came back once again. In the case of Gregor (Kobel), I don’t believe that the injury is dramatic. He took a knock to the face. I can’t say anything yet about Mats (Hummels).”

Niclas Füllkrug (to BVB-TV): “It was an unpleasant away game in Frankfurt yet again. We know this. It’s difficult to win here. We unfortunately conceded two very stupid goals in the first half that really worsened our position. We showed spirit and played a really good game from then onwards. It was also proven today that we have players who can make a difference coming off the bench. That’s what makes a good team.”

Nico Schlotterbeck (to DAZN): “If you consider the way the game panned out, it’s a case of a point won. After it went to 2-2, we had the feeling that we were closer. But then we conceded an unnecessary goal after a simple loss of possession.”

Alexander Meyer (to BVB-TV): “If you consider the whole game, we have to be annoyed. Because we went 2-0 down against a team against which we were superior overall. We want to win every game. But because of the way the game panned out, we can be happy that we got the draw. I always have to be ready as a No. 2 because something can happen at any time.”

Karim Adeyemi (in the mixed zone): “We always want to win. We didn’t manage to do that. The positive thing is that we came back twice and I think we could have even turned the game around completely and won. But today the luck was not on our side. Now we have to look towards the next game and do the things that we didn’t do well today better.”
