Gio Reyna and the USA won the CONCACAF Nations League on Sunday night thanks to a 2-0 victory over Canada. Meanwhile, Dutchman Donyell Malen lost the UEFA Nations League third-place play-off 3-2 to Italy.
The German national team’s third friendly of this international period also ended without a win on Tuesday evening. Head coach Hans-Dieter Flick’s team suffered a 2-0 loss at the hands of Colombia. Emre Can and Marius Wolf started the friendly in Gelsenkirchen. Wolf was substituted after 45 minutes, while Can was brought off after 66 minutes. Julian Brandt came on in the 79th minute, while Nico Schlotterbeck was an unused substitute.
There was a successful EURO qualifying result for Julian Ryerson and the Norway national team. Ryerson was included in the starting XI and was substituted after 59 minutes in the 3-1 win against Cyprus. Norway occupy third spot in Group A after four rounds of matches.
On Monday evening, Türkiye won their home EURO qualifier against Wales by a 2-0 scoreline and remained top of Group D. Salih Özcan played for an hour and was brought off after 60 minutes.
Gregor Kobel was an unused substitute for Switzerland’s 2-2 EURO qualifying draw against Romania and watched the 90 minutes in Lucerne from the bench.

Similarly to the last edition of the CONCACAF Nations League in 2021, the United States crowned themselves champions in the summer of 2023 too. BVB midfielder Gio Reyna played a decisive role in the 2-0 final victory against Canada. The 20-year-old assisted both the opening goal for Chris Richards (12) and the second goal for Folarin Balogun (34). Reyna was substituted off at half-time and was named the Man of the Match by CONCACAF after the final whistle.
