16 BVB academy players have been selected to represent their national youth teams in the upcoming international fixtures. 

Guido Streichsbier, head coach of the Germany U19s, has called up Nnamdi Collins and Tom Rothe to his 19-man squad, while Samuel Bamba and Farouk Cisse are on the reserve list. The team are set to contest the second qualifying round for the European Championship in Malta. The U19 national team, who have not qualified for a European Championship tournament since 2017, will face Italy (22 March), Belgium (25 March) and Slovenia (28 March) in Bremen. The winner of this mini-tournament will book a place in the finals in Malta.

No fewer than five Black & Yellows have been included in the Germany U17 squad that will face hosts Turkey as well as Finland and Spain in the European Championship qualifying tournament from 22 to 27 March. The players selected by coach Christian Wück are Paris Brunner, Charles Herrmann, Luke Rahman, Almugera Kabar and Kjell Wätjen. The tournament winner and the seven best runners-up from the eight qualifying groups will qualify for the EURO in Hungary. Gökdeniz Gürpüz has been called up to represent Turkey, while Nico Adamczyk is in the Poland squad. 

Germany U16 coach Michael Prus has named Dortmund talents Jonas Feddersen, Fritz Fleck, Anas Mahjoubi and Tyler Meiser in his squad for the two fixtures in Italy on 24 and 27 March. Goalkeeper Aaron Held is on the reserve list.
