Magdeburger FFC Come to Köpenick

Magdeburger FFC, who have been playing in the Regionalliga Nordost since 2015, finished 5th in the table last season when the young team of head coach Alexander Auer, on the touchlines since 2021, were particularly convincing in front of goal. With 71 scored, the Magdeburg women were only two behind fourth-placed RB Leipzig II. In the summer, however, they lost a key player in the shape of 17-year-old Melina Krüger – the club’s best striker last season with 18 goals – joined Hamburger SV, following their promotion to the second division.

Union Versus Stuttgart

Six wins, 18 points and second place in the table, it’s fair to say that Stuttgart’s fans will be happy with their best start to a season in 28 years. Although they only managed to stay in the league last year by a whisker, winning the relegation playoff, Stuttgart are currently one of the best teams in the Bundesliga. The statistics are impressive; after seven matches, the Swabians have scored more goals than they did in the entire first half of last season. In addition, VfB have won four home games in a row and have won the last five games by at least a two-goal difference.

Union Present the Champions League Shirt

Inspired by the black and gold shirts worn by the team after qualifying for the Champions League, the new kit is primarily black, with visual highlights provided by the golden accents on the shoulders and collar. The logos of the club’s partners and the club emblem also appear in this tone, thus blending into the design.

Union Host Viktoria Berlin

The clash between Union Berlin and Viktoria Berlin has been long anticipated, as two clubs with great ambitions for the future, and the ultimate aim of promotion to the Bundesliga meet. While the hosts are relying primarily on the club’s existing structures in their professionalisation process, Viktoria are backed up by their investors. A total of 181 sponsors, including numerous public figures, have provided over 2 million euros since summer 2022.
