A Thomas Ouwejan free-kick set up Schalke’s important first goal against SC Paderborn 07. It was the Dutch wing-back’s eighth assist already this season. The 25-year-old spoke to schalke04.de about that win and the three shots that hit the woodwork. He also discussed his constant presence in the side, the upcoming game in Karlsruhe and the current state of the table.
Simon Terodde: You have to be hungry until the final whistle as a striker
Striker Simon Terodde made it 3-0 in injury time on Saturday in the win over 1. FC Heidenheim. It was already his 22nd goal this season. The 34-year-old spoke to schalke04.de about his goal, the celebrations after it and the support from the fans.
Florian Flick: I can hardly wait to be playing Bundesliga football in front of a sold-out crowd
Featuring for a total of 1,397 minutes across 27 different league matches, Florian Flick established a regular spot for himself in the FC Schalke 04 side this season through consistent and strong performances. The midfielder, who suffered a nasal wound against FC St. Pauli in December 2021, played in each of Schalke’s final 12 league matches and made a considerable contribution to us winning the Bundesliga 2 title. In an interview, the 22-year-old spoke about the title win, how pleased he is to be called up to the Germany U21 Men’s national team squad, and his personal development.
