Hertha Berlin

Jena away in the DFB-Pokal

The DFL will announce the fixture list for the 2023/24 season on 30th June. The first matchday of the 2. Bundesliga will be played between 28th and 30th July. The DFB-Pokal is then scheduled for after our first two league games. The draw for this season’s cup was made in Dortmund on Sunday and Pál Dárdai’s side will face FC Carl Zeiss Jena. The Hungarian commented: “It’s a nice draw for us. We’re looking forward to this game against a club full of tradition. It’s a nice challenge, but we obviously will want to reach the next round.”

TSG Hoffenheim

Delaney & Dolberg to leave TSG once loan deals expire

“Thomas and Kasper are two great characters who have always put themselves at the service of the team,” said TSG’s director of football Alexander Rosen. “Thomas came to us following an injury and with little playing time under his belt. Despite his difficult sporting situation, he conducted himself in an absolutely exemplary manner both on the pitch and in the dressing room as a leader. Kasper needed some time to settle in with us and to show his undoubtedly great potential on the pitch. Unfortunately, he was temporarily set back by a head injury, meaning that his contribution to our ultimately successful end to the season did not turn out to be even bigger,” Rosen continued.

Prömel to leave Union for Hoffenheim

“Driving into the car park at the Alte Försterei in the morning and meeting the first members of staff who greet you with a smile on their face is something I enjoy every day and I will miss that very much. I have experienced a lot with Union – the club, the fans and the staff – in the last few years. We were promoted together, realised our dream of the Bundesliga and then qualified for Europe. This special time has left a deep impression on me and will remain in my memory forever. Above all, the feeling of community, the mood and atmosphere make the club something unique. I would like to thank all my teammates, the coaches and support staff, all the staff and fans for the best time of my career so far. But there is still a lot to do before I leave and I will give everything to finish this season successfully together with all Union players,” said Prömel on his decision to leave the club.
