Secondary Ticket Market Open

Season ticket holders who cannot attend can make their ticket available for other fans via the platform.

VfL Wolfsburg

Summer exit

Omar Marmoush will leave VfL Wolfsburg after the current season. The Egyptian’s contract, which expires on 30 June of this year, will not be renewed and he will leave the club after six years. “In open and honest talks, both parties exchanged their views,” explained VfL sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz. “No agreement could be reached during these talks, so Omar has decided to look for a new challenge. We thank him for his service in the VfL shirt and wish him all the best for the future, both in his career and personal life.”

Borussia Dortmund

Julian Brandt also the Bundesliga Player of the Month for February

Brandt scored a goal in each of BVB’s four Bundesliga matches in February and played a major role in the victories against Freiburg, Bremen, Hertha and Hoffenheim in the process. The BVB player has now been rewarded once again for his outstanding performances.

SV Werder Bremen

Four Werder players training individually

Not all players are available to Ole Werner and the coaching team at the start of the training week ahead of the last home game of the 2022/23 season against 1. FC Köln on Saturday. Four players are working individually, while Niclas Füllkrug will gradually be more involved in team training, but will take part less than his teammates as planned.

FC Bayern München

Agent for Bayern Munich loanee Marcel Sabitzer open to what the future holds

All four of Sabitzer’s appearances for United have come in the Premier League, three of which were starts; the 2-2 draw with Leeds United, the 2-0 win over Leeds, and the most recent 3-0 win over Leicester City. He’s yet to register a goal or assist for Erik Ten Hag’s side, but he has tuned in some positive performances for the Red Devils and his agent recently expressed the sentiment that his future is entirely open.

Hertha Berlin

Back to work

After playing on Friday night, the Hertha players were back on the training ground on Monday afternoon ahead of the final home game of the season against VfL Bochum on Saturday (20/5/23, 15:30 CEST). The squad and coaching team spent an hour doing some video analysis before training started at Schenckendorffplatz. “We analysed the Köln game once again and are now preparing for our final two games as we look to try and take our small chance,” said Pál Dárdai. “Things are no longer in our own hands and we need to hope that others slip up. We need to win at home this weekend and then we’ll just have to see what else happens.”

TSG Hoffenheim

Strong in the tackle and perfect precision

TSG Hoffenheim have collected ten points from their last four games. Having gone 14 league games without a win before that, Pellegrino Matarazzo’s team have succeeded in reversing that trend, with the 1-1 (0-1) draw away to Bayern Munich once again demonstrating the team’s strength of character. TSG’s confidence continues to grow thanks to the hard and effective work in individual duels on the pitch – and also thanks to a stroke of genius from Andrej Kramarić. “The preparation was very good, but we couldn’t get it going on the pitch,” said Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel after the 1-1 draw with TSG Hoffenheim. The fact that the league leaders were not satisfied with their performance in the home game against TSG was mainly due to the passionate and determined showing from Pellegrino Matarazzo’s team. After three wins against Hertha Berlin, Werder Bremen and Schalke 04, Hoffenheim remained unbeaten for a fourth consecutive game, putting TSG into a good position for the rest of the season. With 29 points, TSG are currently 13th in the table, five points ahead of VfB Stuttgart in 16th.

1. FSV Mainz 05

Rediscovering the positivity

It goes without saying that the heavy defeat to Wolfsburg on Friday night had an effect on the players and the coaching staff. This week in training, however, the team has looked to move on from the disappointing night in Lower-Saxony by focussing on its strengths. A tough test awaits Mainz this weekend, as Bundesliga champions FC Bayern are in town. Despite the desire to push forward, the performance shown against Wolfsburg is still difficult for Robin Zentner to comprehend. The goalkeeper had to pick the ball out of his net five times as Mainz suffered their heaviest defeat of the season. “It was a bit of a shock and it’s not easy to process. We were super disappointed and also angry with ourselves,” said the 27-year-old. Despite the bitterness, Zentner is still confident that his team can put things right as the season reaches its climax.

1. FC Union Berlin

Haberer signs for Union from Freiburg

“I was looking for a new challenge and found it in the move from Freiburg to Berlin,” said the central midfielder. “The talks with Oliver Ruhnert make me confident that we can play a good role in all three competitions in the coming season. As an experienced Bundesliga player, I want to take on responsibility and put my performance capabilities at the service of the team and the club.”
