Man Utd believe they now know how much Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will accept for top transfer target Harry Kane, according to reports.

Spurs could be about to lose the England international in the summer transfer window with Kane about to enter the final year of his contract in north London.

There are a number of possibilities over Kane’s future .

, while he could renew his deal at Tottenham or see out the final year on his contract and leave for free next summer.

There have been rumours that Tottenham chairman Levy has no intention of selling Kane to a Premier League rival, especially Man Utd, but the Daily Mail claim that the Red Devils are now confident they now know a fee he will accept.

The Daily Mail claim: ‘Manchester United feel Tottenham’s price for the England captain will be £100million. With uncertainty surrounding Spurs’ immediate future and next boss, United aren’t banking on Daniel Levy agreeing to sell easily.’

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has urged Man Utd fans to not get excited for a quick deal with no resolution over Kane expected “in the next two or three weeks”.

Romano told GiveMeSport earlier this week: “In terms of reality and a concrete situation happening, we can say that they have an interest. They really appreciate Harry Kane and they consider him the perfect kind of striker for their football.

“But they also know that it’s not going to be fast or easy so don’t expect any deal in the next two or three weeks for Harry Kane because this is not going to happen.”

Ryan Mason admitted that the club needs to put in place a “succession plan” in case Kane or any important figures at the club leave in the future.

When asked to ‘sum up’ Kane’s time at Tottenham, Mason replied: “I cannot sum it up because he is still our player. When you sum something up it is a closed chapter, that is certainly not the case.

“But for any player or manager, when one leaves it is important to have a succession plan in place so the next one comes in and the impact is not so bad. That’s not just about Harry.
