Switzerland rescue point against Scotland
Switzerland drew 1-1 with Scotland in their second group game of EURO 2024. Nico Elvedi did not feature.
After the 3-1 win over Hungary in their first game, Switzerland drew with Scotland to bring their total to four points. Scott McTominay put Scotland ahead in the 13th minute with a deflected effort that was initially awarded as an own goal against Fabian Schär, before Xherdan Shaqiri equalised in spectacular style in the 26th minute. As in the opening game, Nico Elvedi remained on the bench. Switzerland face Germany in their final group game on Sunday (21:00 CEST). Germany sit top of the group with six points after their 2-0 win over Hungary.
