Match facts ahead of #BSBBMG
Everything to know ahead of the DFB-Pokal game against TuS Bersenbrück at the Stadion an die Bremer Brücke in Osnabrück on Friday (18:00 CEST).
Spectators
- The Oberliga side from Lower Saxony have opted to host the Pokal game at the Stadion an die Bremer Brücke in Osnabrück (Photo: imago/ Sports Press Photo), which houses up to 16,100 spectators, since the capacity of their own ground, the Hasestadion, is too small. There are no more tickets available for the game.
- Gladbach were allocated roughly 7,300 tickets, which were all sold to fans. More than 10,000 fans are expected to be at the ground to support the Foals.
Statistics
- The last time Gladbach were dumped out in the opening round of the Pokal came ten years ago. After 120 goalless minutes, then-3. Liga side Darmstadt won the game on penalties.
- Since then, Gladbach have cruised their way through the first round. Last year, for instance, they won 9-1 at Oberliga team SV Oberachern.
- Last season, the Foals fell to a 2-1 defeat in the second round at the hands of SV Darmstadt, who were in the second tier at the time.
- To date, Gladbach have won the DFB-Pokal three times, the last of which came in 1995. They have also made it to the final twice.
Officials
- Alexander Sather will referee the match, assisted by linesmen Oliver Lossius and Stefan Zielsdorf. Fourth offical Tobias Severins rounds of the officiating team, as VAR will not be used for the first round of the Pokal.
