Crystal Palace have offered reported Arsenal and Chelsea target Wilfried Zaha a club-record contract, according to talkSPORT.

The 30-year-old has played more Premier League games for the Eagles than anyone else and is third in their all-time appearances list.

In 458 matches for the Londoners, he has scored 90 goals and provided 76 assists, as per Transfermarkt.

He did make the move from Palace to Manchester United in 2013 but only managed four first-team appearances and returned to Selhurst Park on loan after a single season before joining permanently for a measly fee in the region of £3million.

and there is a lot of interest in him.

Arsenal and Chelsea are two Premier League clubs being linked with the Ivory Coast international, while Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Juventus are also said to be keen.

A club legend at Palace, many Eagles supporters are obviously very eager for him to sign a new contract but many seem to be resigned to losing the winger.

However, there is some hope for the fan base with talkSPORT reporting that the Palace hierarchy have offered Zaha a new four-year contract worth £200,000 per week.

This equates to close to £42m and unsurprisingly the player is ‘seriously considering’ accepting the offer.

Zaha would be the highest-paid player in the club’s history should he agree to these terms.

At the age of 30, Zaha would be pretty silly to turn this offer down.

Players in that age bracket tend to receive two or three-year contract offers, though free agents normally receive a huge wage packet.

Having said that, the rumours are not going away and it would appear there is no smoke without fire in this case.

Last month, Fabrizio Romano said and denied there are talks taking place between the winger’s representatives and Arsenal.

In 27 Premier League games this season, the 30-year-old has scored seven goals and provided two assists, which is a pretty poor return for a player of his quality, especially when you consider that he is playing for a big-money contract offer – which he has apparently received anyway.

Zaha has never played in the Champions League in his career and should he be offered the chance to join a club playing in that competition, you could not blame him for turning down Palace’s huge offer.

On the other hand, you could not blame him for rejecting a Champions League club to accept a long-term deal worth £200k per week.
