Gabby Agbonlahor and Jamie O’Hara are in agreement that Chelsea won’t “win another game this season” after ther 2-1 loss at home to Brighton.

with the ball and gave away little against the hosts’ sporadic counter attacks when out of possession.

Julio Enciso’s winner, drilled into the top corner from distance as Chelsea backed off, was a fitting marker of Brighton’s superiority. With 20 minutes still to play, Lampard’s team rarely looked like clawing the result back.

The team at least ended their run of four games without a goal – their longest since 1993 – but there was no respite from the form that has now seen them drop closer to bottom side Southampton than to the Champions League places.

Mykhailo Mudryk was Chelsea’s liveliest player in the first half, and made perhaps his most impressive contribution yet in a blue shirt, playing a clever reverse ball for Conor Gallagher to open the scoring.

From there, Chelsea’s attacking threat simply withered away. Substitute Danny Welbeck equalised late in the half before Enciso’s memorable winner clinched a deserved win for Roberto De Zerbi’s team.

Chelsea have only won ten of their 31 Premier League matches this season and sit 11th in the table, 17 points behind fourth-placed Man Utd, who occupy the final Champions League place.

Frank Lampard was brought in to steer the ship in a different direction but the former England international has had a nightmare start, losing to Wolves, Real Madrid and now Brighton in his first three matches in caretaker charge.

And talkSPORT pundits Agbonlahor and O’Hara agree that Chelsea don’t look like winning another game for the rest of the season.

Agbonlahor said: “We were watching Brighton and we were thinking, who are the home team?

“Brighton had 25 shots today! 26 shots for an away team at Stamford Bridge is unacceptable.

“I couldn’t name one player that would have got over a 3/10 today. If Lampard can’t get these players motivated, who can?”

Former Tottenham midfielder O’Hara added: “I don’t know if Chelsea will win another game this season, I don’t think they’re going to win another game.”

Chelsea’s remaining seven Premier League fixtures are against Brentford, Arsenal, Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City, Newcastle United and Manchester United.
