Victor Osimhen’s ‘biggest dream’ is to play in the Premier League with Man Utd making the Napoli striker their ‘main priority’, according to reports in Germany.

The Nigerian international is enjoying an incredible 2022-23 with Napoli expected to win their first Serie A title since 1990.

It promises to be a historic campaign for the Naples club – who reached the last eight of the Champions League for the first time in their history with a 5-0 aggregate win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

Despite their impending league title and potential European success, there are concerns over the long-term futures of Osimhen and winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Both players are being linked with a move away this summer with Premier League clubs circling.

Man Utd are in the market for a new striker and Osimhen is reportedly one of their top targets.

Osimhen, Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani are all being strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford, with some reports this week suggesting the Red Devils are willing to pay a club-record fee for the latter.

All three would probably cost a similar fee – believed to be in the region of £100million.

Kane would be the safest signing out of the lot considering his goalscoring record in the Premier League. However, there may be some reservations about paying such a high fee for a player who turns 30 years old this summer.

and Kolo Muani are both significantly younger than the England captain, but have no Premier League experience.

Some reports have stated that Man Utd have identified Kane as their top summer target, however, Sky Germany correspondent Florian Plettenberg believes that is not the case.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Plettenberg claimed that Osimhen is Man Utd’s ‘main priority’ this summer.

The German journalist could not confirm whether or not the Premier League giants are preparing a mammoth €120m bid for Kolo Muani.

On Thursday, Plettenberg added that the ‘biggest dream’ of the Napoli striker is to play in the Premier League.

Both Man Utd and Chelsea are ‘pushing’ to sign Osimhen and even though a move to either would suit him, it is added that he would be open to joining Bayern Munich.

The German champions have been strongly linked with Kane over the last nine months or so and are in the market for a new no. 9.

However, the finances of the potential signing are ‘not affordable this summer’ and the chances of Bayern landing Osimhen are ‘slim’.

Arsenal and with Osimhen in recent weeks.

The respective 2022 summer signings of Gabriel Jesus and Erling Haaland make this deal feel pretty unrealistic.
