Man Utd bidder Sheikh Jassim will not turn his attention to buying West Ham if his Red Devils takeover fails, according to reports.

The Glazers are currently considering bids for the club with Qatar’s Sheikh Jassim and INEOS founder Sir Jim Ratcliffe the two bidders to have made their offers public.

Man Utd fans are starting to get concerned that the takeover won’t be sorted before the transfer window opens with after Ratcliffe’s camp became confident they were winning the race for the club.

There have been reports previously that and another story has now suggested Sheikh Jassim will try and purchase West Ham if he fails to buy Man Utd.

Jacobs wrote on Twitter: “Understand Sheikh Jassim is not considering West Ham if unsuccessful in buying Manchester United. Nine Two Foundation haven’t made any approach or even discussed West Ham internally.

“Should Nine Two Foundation fail to agree a deal to buy #MUFC, it is anticipated QSI would lead on any approach to another club. Malaga is their next prospect.

“As previously revealed in January, Nasser Al-Khelaifi also held exploratory talks with Daniel Levy over minority investment in Spurs. QSI also haven’t held any talks with West Ham.”

Speaking in an interview with Football Fan Cast, Jacobs has also revealed that all parties are keen to push through a takeover of Man Utd before the summer transfer window opens in a few weeks.

He added: “So the existing football infrastructure are planning and we know that clubs like to do their business early and line up players to come in in the first two or three weeks of the window.

“If you’re seeking a player and you’ve got buy-in from the player and your recruitment team has done their job, but it’s unclear when that player is ready to move and with other options, potentially, who actually is going to be fronting the bill?

“It can cause a delay and that delay might mean that you miss out on a target. So from a transitional point of view, these groups have always said the same thing. Yes, it will take as long as it takes, but they desperately want to be in for when the transfer window opens.”
