Delight for Arsenal and Liverpool as midfield target says he is ‘open’ to a Premier League move this summer

Arsenal and Liverpool midfield target Jesper Lindstrom is ‘open’ to a move to the Premier League at the end of the season, according to reports.

The 22-year-old is having an excellent campaign with Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga and has attracted the interest of multiple European clubs.

He is a key player for the German side, though, so they are unlikely to let Lindstrom leave easily.

This season, the Danish international has scored seven goals and made seven assists in 19 Bundesliga appearances, giving him an impressive average of 0.74 goal contributions per game.

Lindstrom also put on some good displays in the World Cup playing for Denmark, as he made three solid appearances in the competition.

As mentioned, Arsenal are thought to be heavily interested in signing Lindstrom in the summer, while Liverpool have now also shortlisted him.

Now, in a boost for both clubs, Lindstrom is ‘open’ to joining a Premier League club next season, according to German outlet Sport1, via InsideFutbol.

The attacking midfielder has a contract until 2026 with Frankfurt, but with his desire to leave now public, the German side may look to offload him while his price is at a premium.

For Arsenal, Lindstrom would represent a great option to back up Martin Odegaard, who has been in excellent form under Mikel Arteta this season.

Liverpool are arguably more in need of midfield reinforcements, though. James Milner is coming towards the end of his career, while the likes of Jordan Henderson, Thiago and Jordan Henderson are all over the age of 30.

With that in mind, the 22-year-old could prove to be an effective long-term option for Jurgen Klopp, as he looks to revamp his squad.

Borussia Dortmund wonderkid , so the Bundesliga pair could make an effective partnership in the middle of the park.

Saying that, Arsenal is arguably a more attractive option for Lindstrom. They are absolutely flying at the moment, currently sitting joint-top of the Premier League table and almost certain to qualify for the Champions League next season.

According to Transfermarkt, a bid in the region of £28m will be required to acquire Lindstrom’s services.

If he can hit the ground running in England and continue his excellent form, that price tag could prove to be a bargain.

Indeed, with Lindstrom keen on a switch to the Premier League, a summer switch to Arsenal or Liverpool is looking increasingly likely. The only question is: will he head to the Emirates or Anfield?
