The Bundesliga season may be over, but it’s not time for summer holidays quite yet for the VfL Wolfsburg players who have been called up for international duty. Jonas Wind, Mattias Svanberg, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Jakub Kaminski and Patrick Wimmer will all be involved in qualifying for next year’s European Championship in Germany – and the latter member of that quintet will face Green-and-White team-mates in both matches with Austria. Koen Casteels, however, has withdrawn from international duty after consultation with the Belgian FA due to injury.
