Head coach Ole Werner: “We came away from this home game with two points less than we were hoping for. We were inconsistent in too many areas. We had the majority of possession up to 70 minutes in, and had control of the game. We have to be better in front of goal. Things then got crazy towards the end. The next step in our development is to be able to stay composed in these situations and come up with clear solutions to them.”
Christian Groß: “We started off strong, deservedly took the lead, and did well at finding gaps to exploit. We missed the opportunity to double our lead, and then lost our momentum. It was a similar story after the break, as we came out strong once again, but were unable to get a goal. It was insane towards the end. We’re really disappointed with the 1-1 result, as we feel like we let ourselves down today.”
Marvin Ducksch: “We played well for the first half an hour, but we didn’t use our chances. After that, we let them get back into the game and struggled to take back control. The second half was crazy. It’s not our style of play. We shouldn’t end a game like that – instead, we should be trying to play our own way. We were lucky with the result.”
Senne Lynen: “We’re unhappy with the point. That much is clear. We wanted to win at home against Darmstadt and we had plenty of chances to do so. We could’ve made it 2-0, but we didn’t, then the game became a lot more even. We were too inconsistent and our passing wasn’t the best. We didn’t lose, but it still doesn’t feel like enough.”

Anthony Jung: “We could’ve gotten more from the game today, but ultimately we have to admit that we were lucky. We could’ve done more in the first half. We let them back into the game by making mistakes in our build-up play.”
