Head coach Ole Werner: “I’m pleased with how the team performed today. It’s only right for me to praise the boys on how well they’ve bounced back after a difficult few weeks. They put in a strong defensive display and did everything required of them out of possession when playing away from home. We took the lead, and couldn’t argue with the red card decision, but really we should have been the ones with the numerical advantage after Dina Ebimbe’s foul on Ducksch. We deserved the point on the basis of the shift we put in throughout the 90 minutes.”

Marco Friedl: “It was a very tough and intense game. Frankfurt had more of the ball over the 90 minutes, but we had better chances than them. We went ahead, but then conceded the equaliser, which made things difficult for us. Ultimately, we deserved to come away with a point.”

Milos Veljkovic: “Both teams wanted nothing more than to win today and battled hard to keep the ball in the opposition’s end. The game was certainly eventful, and there were a lot of chances that didn’t amount to anything. When you go 1-0 up, you want to keep it that way for the rest of the game. The red card didn’t make things any easier for us, as it allowed them to deliver a lot of dangerous crosses into our box. We were unlucky to concede that goal, but looking back, a draw was a fair outcome.”

Marvin Ducksch: “I’m still struggling to get my head around the game. We knew they would come at us at pace, and we defended against that as best we could. If you consider the match as a whole, we should have come out on top. Our red card completely turned the game around. In the end, we’ll happily take the point.”
