Rafael Borré made an appearance in Colombia’s second World Cup qualifier against Chile on Tuesday night, which ended in a 0-0 draw. The forward earned a spot in the starting eleven with his winning goal against Venezuela, but was substituted off in the 58th minute. Elsewhere, Olivier Deman is still waiting on his second international appearance for Belgium, having been an unused sub in their 5-0 win over Estonia, a result which has almost certainly secured their spot at EURO 2024.
Leon Opitz successfully rounded off his international break with the Germany U19 side in Spain. Just like in the 1-0 win over England, head coach Christian Wörns changed almost the whole team at half time of a 6-1 victory over Switzerland, with Opitz getting himself on the scoresheet to make it 5-1. They can now take that good form into qualifying for the Euros in Northern Ireland – from 11th to 18th October, the U19s will face Kazakhstan, North Macedonia and hosts Poland.
