Although many will be busy celebrating the milestone, head coach Ole Werner’s primary focus is naturally on the task at hand.“I’m hoping that we can build on the last few weeks in terms of our dedication, togetherness and discipline on the pitch,” shared Werder’s head coach, who is expecting a better performance from his side than that of the clash against Mainz. Although Saturday will be a special day for SVW, the 35-year-old is not keen to receive any presents from the opposition. “We’re concentrating on doing our bit towards making the day a success. We’ll be able to do this by creating our own luck, rather than relying on gifts from the visitors.”

Sensational home support

FCH are also unbeaten in seven games just like the Green-Whites, whilst the two teams have both showed their strength in defence in last few weeks. “Both sides are in good form and are showing their strengths on the pitch. That’s also evident in terms of the results and the points accrued,” Werner explained, taking a glance at the visitors, who are also a constant threat from set pieces and are dangerous in transition. “They’re a team who always pose a threat, even if they’re not in the game in certain phases,” the 35-year-old emphasised.

Werner is certain that the fans’ support will once again contribute towards SVW not only being able to celebrate the club’s anniversary, but also the next home win at the end of the game. “We’ve predominantly put in good performances at home recently and have picked up a good number of points. That’s also got a lot to do with the home crowd’s support,” SVW’s head coach explained, before going on to say: “We’ve got a good relationship between the team and the fans. That’s not only set us apart as a club in the last few years, but rather for a far longer period.”
