The dark-green shirt features both the modern Werder diamond and the original crest from 1899, which also helps form the pattern on both the front and back of the shirt in very unique fashion. The cream-coloured raglan sleeves and the classic dark-green hummel chevrons positioned on the shoulders add the finishing touches to the stylish design. Our motto “Lebenslang grün-weiß” is printed on the back of the neck, where the 125-year-anniversary logo also features below the collar.
The print on the front of the chest also blends in well with the rest of the design, with the logos of both Matthäi on the men’s shirt and Ammerländer on the women’s jersey both less vibrant in colour, as well as the hummel logo. “Our partners have agreed to not be as present on the shirt as they usually are, which we are extremely grateful for,” Filbry added. The exclusive design will make its first appearance on Saturday, 10th February 2024 in SVW’s Bundesliga clash against 1. FC Heidenheim at the wohninvest WESERSTADION, and will also be worn by the women’s side in their meeting with TSG Hoffenheim on the same day at 12:00 CET.
The anniversary shirt, which will be delivered in a premium box, can be ordered from Werder’s online shop now, and will also be available to purchase in both the GRÜNE BUDE (Am Tiefer 1) and the WERDER Fan-Welt at the wohninvest WESERSTADION (adults €99.95, children €79.95) from Monday, 5th February 2024 (10:00 CET).
