On Friday, 28.07.2023, 1. FC Union Berlin will host the Cypriot first division team Pafos FC in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer, Austria. Kick off for Union’s first game of this year’s summer training camp in the Saalfelden Arena is at 16:00.
The opponents
Pafos, who emerged from predecessor clubs AEK Kouklia and AE Paphos in 2014, will be the third club from the Mediterranean island to have played Union, after Anorthosis Famagusta and Salmina Larnaca. Currently coached by Spaniard Juan Carlos Carcedo, Pafos FC have gone from strength to strength nationally in recent seasons, climbing steadily in the final tables from 10th to the aforementioned 4th place.
