Shortly before the start of 1. FC Union Berlin’s women’s season Lisa Heiseler has been confirmed as captain of Ailien Poese’s team. Dina Orschmann will start the season as her number two.
Identification figures from Union’s own youth
Heiseler has been a Union player for over 10 years, making the leap from the youth sides to the women’s team in 2015. After that, the attacking player established herself as an absolute top performer and leading player, scoring 84 times in 110 games. She was top scorer last season – her first as captain – and second in the league overall, with 24 goals.
Orschmann also played for 1. FC Union Berlin in her youth. In the summer of 2017, however, the attacker left Union and played for one and a half years in the USA for the UFC Knights. In 2019, she returned to Germany and joined 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam, where she played 42 Bundesliga games, scoring 12 goals. Orschmann then moved abroad again in the summer of 2022 to Scottish champions Glasgow Rangers. After six months on the island, however, she returned to Köpenick.
