David Raum
- “We had to give everything today. We played really well in the first half and made a good start to the game. Belgrade made a change at the break and they did everything they could to get level. We weren’t able to dominate the game like we did in the first 45.
At the end of the day, we got the win and that’s all that matters. We’re really happy to be into the round of 16, but we’ve still got two group games left, which we want to play well in.”
Emil Forsberg
- “It’s a great stadium and it was very loud. Playing here isn’t easy. We were really good in the first half and found good counters to their playstyle. We did a lot of things right, but we should’ve scored a few more goals.
We had a couple of problems in the second half. Our build-up play wasn’t as calm as it should’ve been, as we ran into trouble as a result. It wasn’t easy, but we got the win in the end and we’ve qualified for the next round. We’re really pleased that we’re in the last 16.“
Lois Openda
- “The atmosphere was great in the stadium, but we were solely concentrated on the game and getting the three points. It wasn’t easy, but we battled well as a team. We played against a strong side, but all the lads showed great character.
The most important thing was that we won the match and now we’re into the next round.”
