Tom Krauß is a true product of the Leipzig academy. He played for the club’s youth sides from 2011 to 2019 and signed his first pro deal back in summer 2019.
He was regularly in the first-team squad in 2019/20 and made his Bundesliga debut on 27th June 2020 in a 2-1 win against FC Augsburg on matchday34, coming off the bench in the 87th minute. Tom became the first Leipzig-born player to play for the club in the Bundesliga.
Krauß joined 1. FC Nürnberg on a two-year loan deal ahead of the 2020/21 season. He was a regular fixture in their side in the second division, appearing 65 times over the two years (5 goals, 5 assists).
Key player at Schalke
He then made the move to top-flight side FC Schalke 04 last summer.
Tom has played for all of Germany’s youth sides and even captained the U19s. He currently represents the U21s (14 caps, 3 goals).
