  • Mohamed Simakan was on the right flank instead of Benjamin Henrichs. This was the only change to our starting line-up.
  • Yussuf Poulsen returned to the squad after a three-game injury layoff.

  • Dream duo I: Our goal scorers Lois Openda (who made it 1-1) and Benjamin Sesko (2-1) continue to score at will and now have 24 and 11 goals respectively this season.
  • Openda has now scored at least once in 20 (!) different league games this season.
  • With his 28th goal for the Red Bulls, Openda moves into the top 10 best RBL goalscorers of all time, drawing level with Willi Orban.
  • In addition, the two strikers have each scored at least once in the last 4 games. The last time this happened in the Bundesliga was in February 2015, through BVB duo Marco Reus and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
  • New club record!Sesko has now been involved in at least one goal (8 goals, 2 assists) in his last 10 Bundesliga starts. No Red Bull has managed this before. He has also now scored 15 goals for RB Leipzig.
  • After his assist in Heidenheim, Mo Simakan shone as a goalscorer and scored his second goal of the season with the 3-1 win.
  • The goal to make it 3-1 again showed perfect RBL DNA: A lightning-fast counterattack and goal number 14 scored in this way. No team in the league counters better.
