“It was a big game for us and everything was riding on it. We were all a bit tense before the game because we needed to perform. But we were well prepared and started the game well. We played well and were aggressive out of possession while creating good chances in possession. With the way we played, we were the deserved winners. We played a great game.
As a young club, it wasn’t a given that we’d bounce back and qualify after starting the group with two losses. I’m really proud of the team. Respect also to Shakhtar, who have had a brilliant group stage. That’s not easy given their current situation. We want to get as many points as possible from the remaining three games before having a break.”
