TSG to kick off campaign at home to Freiburg

Finally a home game on the opening day of the Bundesliga. After five seasons with an away game on Matchday 1, TSG Hoffenheim will kick off the campaign with a home game once again. Coach Pellegrino Matarazzo’s team will welcome SC Freiburg to the PreZero Arena for their opening game of the 2023/24 season on 22 or 23 August. The German Football League (DFL) made the announcement on Friday. Around a week later TSG will visit promoted 1. FC Heidenheim. The precise dates and kick-off times for the first eight matchdays are set to be announced in calendar week 28 (10-14 July).

TSG’s final game of the season will be against FC Bayern Munich at the PreZero Arena on 18 May. But the final opponent of the 2023 calendar year will be SV Darmstadt 98, as the Bundesliga will pause for its winter break after Matchday 16.
