TSG kick off preseason in front of 500 fans

TSG fans had to wait seven weeks for the ball to get rolling again in Zuzenhausen, but the time has come: preparations for the 2024/25 Bundesliga season began on Sunday (7 July). Hoffenheim head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo welcomed a total of 23 players to the training ground in Zuzenhausen for the first training session of preseason.

“The first impressions of the team were very good. The break was long enough to recover. You could feel the anticipation. That’s what you want as a coach,” said head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo after the first session. Grischa Prömel was also satisfied: “It was a great day. So many fans came to support us. We are happy that it’s time to get back to work.”

TSG organised a colourful programme of events to mark the start of training. 500 fans came along and took photos with the players after the session, as well as collecting autographs.  

The team’s next training session is scheduled for Monday (11:00 CEST.) To round off the week of training, TSG Hoffenheim will play a friendly match against FC-Astoria Walldorf on Saturday (14:00 CEST.). The full summer schedule can be found here.
