Be there live when one of Europe’s most successful clubs comes to the Kraichgau: the trophy cabinet of Glasgow club Rangers is full to the brim and contains 55 league titles, 34 domestic cups and the 1972 European Cup Winners’ Cup. Now the tradition-steeped Scottish side, who reached the final of the UEFA Europa League last season, will face TSG Hoffenheim for the first time. As part of the season opening event on (Saturday) 29 July, TSG will take on coach Michael Beale’s team at home at the PreZero Arena.
There’s a familiar face in the Scottish side’s squad: Antonio Colak, who plied his trade for TSG Hoffenheim between 2015 and 2020, has been a Rangers player since last season. The striker notched 13 goals in 24 league appearance for the Scottish top-tier outfit, who finished as runners-up behind champions Celtic in the season that just ended.
The pre-sale for the friendly begins in mid-July. The match is included in the season ticket for 2023/24. For chip-card season ticket holders, the match will be automatically activated on the plastic season ticket card. Booklet season ticket holders can use the “Saisoneröffnung 2023/2024”.
