With the journey to Tyrol prolonged by heavy traffic, the TSG players hardly had a moment to catch their breath. They swiftly made their way to the FC Kitzbühel sports pitch, which Pellegrino Matarazzo’s team will call home for the next week, by bike. Despite temperatures around the 30° mark, the head coach already laid down a marker for the time in Kitzbühel in the first session: “Considering they spent six hours on the bus and really felt the heat, the boys were very keen. I’m looking forward to the super conditions and our work in the next few days,” Matarazzo said. A lengthy warm-up was followed by some fast-paced match and passing scenarios.
Andrej Kramarić and Angelo Stiller, who had been granted an extended holiday following their international involvement (Croatia/Germany U21s), got their first taste of pre-season. The coach can call upon almost the entire squad in Kitzbühel, with Fisnik Asllani the sole absentee due to an injury. Melayro Bogarde will join in the U23 training camp.
TSG will train at 10:30 CET and 16:00 CET on Sunday, before facing Racing Strasbourg in a friendly on Monday (17:00 CET).
