“Justin and Eduardo are talented lads and great characters. They have both repeatedly shown promising signs for the future,” says Alexander Rosen. “However, we have agreed with the players that in the current phase of their careers, they need regular game time to continue to develop. That is something we cannot guarantee them here,” said the TSG director of professional football, explaining the decision to let both players go.
Justin Che has already said goodbye to his teammates after the 3-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt. TSG have given him permission to leave the club now to link up with the US U20 National Team, who will be taking part in the U20 World Cup in Argentina, which starts on 20 May. Che made two appearances for the TSG first team in the Bundesliga, one in the DFB-Pokal and also played 24 times for Hoffenheim’s Regionalliga team.
Eduardo Quaresma made his Bundesliga debut on Matchday 10 of this season in the 3-0 away win at FC Schalke 04. Over the course of the season, he made three more appearances for the first team, as well as six games for the TSG Regionalliga side. Quaresma has played for all the national youth teams of his home country of Portugal.
